We are writing to you today with an.!.f!1.E.<:>rtadnatte concerning the transition of your fourth-grader to Creekside School for the 2011-2012 school year. Over the past few weeks we have begun working on a number of elements to support your child's transition to Creekside. Adding the following date and event to your calendar will help secure a smooth and orderly transfer.

Creekside School Open House
Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 6:30pm
(Band and Chorus Spring PTA Concert at 8:00 in the Gym)

This Open House night is especially reserved for all families of up-coming fifth-graders who will be transferring to Creekside to continue their education within the Harris County School District. Also families and students who are new to Harris County schools will be encouraged to attend. The evening will start with a short overview and power point of the fifth-grade school day at Creekside and close with a PTA concert at 8:00pm.

The first week of May will also be reserved for each of the elementary schools to take school-day trips to Creekside School (TBD). Your fourth-grader's homeroom teacher will be sending more information to you in the days to come about this trip. During this trip students will again receive a short introduction to their
school day at Creekside, meet fifth-grade teachers, and participate in a more detailed tour! Students especially enjoy hearing about the lockers as well as all of the other learning opportunities here at Creekside.
